Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Everwhisker mobile application, everwhisker.com, and related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”). It does not govern an independent third-party application or website that you choose to use with Everwhisker.

Everwhisker is currently operated under the Everwhisker brand. The publisher identified in the applicable app-store listing is responsible for the processing described here.

Information you place in the app

Depending on the features you use, this may include cat names, portraits, birth or adoption dates, sex, breed, colors, notes, memories, milestones, photos, favorites, care records, documents, owner nickname or portrait, archive drafts, app preferences, and local security settings. This content is currently stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Everwhisker servers.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes an in-app purchase. Everwhisker does not receive your complete payment-card details. The app may receive transaction or entitlement information needed to confirm access to a paid feature. The app store’s own privacy policy governs its processing.

Information generated when you visit the website

Our hosting, content-delivery, and security providers may process technical data such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested URL, date and time, approximate region, and error or security events. This is used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website.

Communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to provide.

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide and maintain the features you request;
• save app content and preferences on your device;
• confirm purchases and restore eligible entitlements;
• respond to support, privacy, and security requests;
• protect the Services from fraud, abuse, and attacks;
• diagnose errors and improve reliability; and
• meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to perform a contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, comply with law, or act with your consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.

App content remains on the device where you create it. You are responsible for protecting your device and any manual backup or exported file. Uninstalling the app or losing the device may permanently remove content that you have not backed up.

When you use an export or share command, you choose the destination. The selected application, recipient, cloud drive, messaging service, social network, or storage provider will process the shared copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Everwhisker cannot control a copy after it leaves the app.

Device-level backups are disabled by the Android app. A manual Everwhisker backup remains wherever you choose to save it until you delete it.

Everwhisker does not currently use advertising cookies or an analytics SDK on this website. Our hosting or security provider may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver the site, balance traffic, detect abuse, and maintain security. Browser settings can block cookies, but doing so may affect site operation.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising.

Information may be disclosed only in these circumstances:

• to vendors that host, deliver, secure, or support the Services under appropriate contractual restrictions;
• to Apple, Google, or another platform provider when needed for a purchase or platform feature;
• to a destination or person you choose through an export or share command;
• when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; or
• to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Services, or as part of a lawful business reorganization.

We do not rent personal information to third parties.

Local app content is retained on your device until you edit or delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Exported copies and manual backups remain in their chosen locations until you delete them. App stores retain purchase records according to their own policies and legal obligations.

Website providers may keep operational and security logs only for the period needed for delivery, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records, and comply with law.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Services. Local-first storage reduces online exposure, but no device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Use a device passcode, keep the operating system updated, and protect exported files and backups.

If you believe the Services or your information may have been compromised, contact us promptly.

The app provides direct controls to view, correct, export, and delete locally stored content. You can also deny or revoke photo, camera, or biometric permission in device settings, although a related feature may then stop working.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection regulator. California residents may also have rights to know, correct, and delete covered information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

To make a request, email us using the address below and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Because journal data currently stays on your device, we ordinarily cannot retrieve or delete that local data for you.

Website and support providers may process technical or contact information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual or other safeguards. Local journal content is not transferred by Everwhisker unless you choose a feature that sends it elsewhere.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum digital-consent age that may apply where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child below the applicable age. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided such information should contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Meowpage publishing is not currently connected. Creating an archive draft or adding an owner portrait in the app does not authorize an upload and does not make anything public.

Before online publishing launches, the app will show the exact cat and owner information selected for publication and require a separate affirmative action. Public content may be indexed by search engines, saved, shared, or copied by other people. We will update this policy with the relevant hosting, account, moderation, deletion, and retention details before real profiles can be published.

We may update this policy when the Services, providers, or laws change. The updated version will appear here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide additional notice where required.
